Last night I attended Sandhurst & Yateley Round Table’s 40th Charter dinner which was a thoroughly entertaining evening. These boys certainly know how to put on a good night. Tablers from Ascot, Thatcham and Maidenhead and the 41 clubs of Sandhurst and Yateley and Camberley joined Sandhurst & Yateley’s celebrations.

We were regaled with tales from each of the past 4 decades of the Round Table’s history followed by entertainment from the very lovely “Morgan�. There was plenty of good humoured banter,much of it coming from the incumbent Area Sports and Social officer, Harry Bennett which resulted in numerous fines from the Master at Arms at the close of play.

It looks like a delegation from Sandhurst and Yateley will be making a trip west to Thatcham in the near future as they’ll need to go and collect the various bits of regalia that were spirited away by the Thatcham party at the end of the evening.
